In order to be considered for the [RE]verse Pitch Innovation Fellow Accelerator and Innovation Prize, your mentee must submit a Contestant Application by 11:59 p.m. on April 23rd. At this stage, your mentee will be asked to fill out specific questions relating to the Judge’s Scoring Criteria.

The Contestant Application consists of:

• An executive summary form

• A pro forma financial statement (using a provided template), to include a column for proposed use of the prize funds

• Recommended: A photograph or rendering of a prototype of the reused or recycled content product, if applicable.

An exclusive workshop for [RE]verse Pitch competitors! We will discuss the theory of circularity, examine current case studies and business models, and free tools that can strengthen this approach. We'll take this new knowledge and work through a group activity to apply what you've learned to redesign an everyday product. Following the activity, you can expect about 30 minutes of time to work through the exercise using your own business concept. A facilitator will be available for questions if you get stuck. Offered exclusively for [Re]Verse Pitch Competitors, this ideation workshop equips new and aspiring social entrepreneurs with the knowledge and techniques to more quickly turn their ideas into revenue generating businesses. The traditional business start-up approach often leads entrepreneurs from idea straight into formal business planning. However, this is not always the best path, especially when a fresh idea hasn’t been tested and validated. Based on the lean start-up method, this course offers many tools, techniques and examples that will benefit entrepreneurs trying to move beyond. Register here. Those who submit an intent to compete will be matched with your mentee by this date through an email introduction.

Contestants will submit a short description of their idea and mentor requests. Contestants may request a specific mentor or request specific expertise areas (sales, manufacturing, marketing, etc.). At this stage, Contestants may post more than one idea description and those can be concepts that deal with multiple materials.
