2020 Material Suppliers

HID Global

This security card manufacturer creates 5,800 lbs per month of Poly-carbonate skeletons from dye-cut I.D. cards. All of the material is currently being sent to landfill, and HID Global is looking for a more sustainable solution.

Gold Rush Vinyl A record manufacturing plant has finished PVC records that do not meet their quality standard, as well as excess PVC material from the trimming of their 7", 10" and 12" records. An estimated 30,000 units are available each month.

Austin Creative Reuse and IIDA (International Interior Designers Association)

Austin's non-profit creative reuse center is able to collect 100s of fabric sample books of discontinued fabric from interior design firms and decorators every month. Sizes, content and designs vary greatly.

Travis County - Sheriff’s Office

Each month the Travis County Correctional Complex generates 380 pairs of all-purpose sandals. The sandals are made out of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC).

The 2020 Opening Pitch Event was held on February 10, 2020 at UT’s Rowling Hall.

The 5th Annual [Re]Verse Finalist Pitch Event was held virtually for the first time on April 27, 2020.
