Congratulations to our 2023 Innovation Fellows!

This year’s winners, known as Innovation Fellows, developed business ideas using another businesses’ ‘waste’.

In addition to participating in a three-part accelerator program, the Innovation Fellows will receive prizes valued up to almost $5,000. Meet the Fellows below:

 

PalletAble

PalletAble is an upcycling crafthouse that transforms rescued wooden pallets into affordable furniture and craft kits. Utilizing the pallet supply from Builders FirstSource, PalletAble offers easy-to-assemble kits for outdoor patio furniture, bed frames, tables, accent walls, shelves, planters, & crafts.

Pyrocycling

The Pyrocycling team’s plan is to use the Deep Eddy Filter Pads to harvest agricultural minerals directly from treated municipal sewage.

2023 Event Details

The 8th annual [RE]verse Pitch Competition kicked off with a virtual event on Wednesday, March 1st!

The competition continued through August where the Innovation Fellows took part in a three-part accelerator program to develop their ideas. During the accelerator program, each team received mentorship, training, and community support.

The accelerator will culminated in the teams pitching their ideas to a cohort of investors as part of the City’s Circular Austin showcase on August 29, 2023.
